As I set out on my journey through the world of The Story, I am filled with excitement and anticipation for the incredible locations that I will encounter.  From soaring mountain ranges to mysterious ruins, I am eager to explore the diverse beauty and challenges that this world has to offer.  I will immerse myself in rich, detailed environments and be challenged by dangerous quests and battles.

I hope that this journal will serve as a record of my experiences, a testament to the wonders I will witness and the trials I will overcome.  I am ready to face the unknown and to uncover the secrets that lie within The Story.  I am eager to see what this world has in store for me.

Entry 14 - The Whispering Wood

It was as if the forest itself was holding its breath, waiting for something to happen. As I walked further into the woods, the silence was broken by a soft whispering sound. At first, I thought it was just the wind in the leaves, but as I listened more closely, I realized that the trees themselves seemed to be whispering. It was a strange and eerie sound, but also strangely comforting.

Entry 149 - City of the Sun

The journey to the City of the Sun was an experience in itself. To reach the first circle, I had to follow a long spiraling road that traveled over 30km winding up the mountain. Massive stables lined this upper path where I was forced to leave my mount before entering the city. From the top path, I rode in one of the suspended carriages that are pulled up to the gates of the city at regular intervals.

Entry 166 - The Drowning Castle

I traveled along the northern bank of the river, my heart racing with excitement as I finally caught sight of the single thin spire rising from the water. I could hardly believe that such a magnificent castle was hidden behind the massive waterfall. As I approached the entrance road, I marveled at the sheer size and scale of the structure. The massive walls, cascading waters, and intricate carvings all blended together to create a truly awe-inspiring sight.

Entry 230 - The Sea of Blood

Despite its beauty, the Sea of Blood is a harsh and unforgiving place, with the razorweed serving as a constant reminder of the danger that lurks beneath the “surface”. The sea is named after the red grass that covers its surface, which gives it the appearance of a sea of fresh blood.

Entry 25 - Illwind Keep

It was once a key position of defense during the Myrrian civil war, and exchanged hands on more than one occasion. Then one morning an attacking force of rebels rode up to it to find every last man, woman, and child within had died by unknown means, not a mark on their bodies. They were left to be found by Myrrian loyalists and the place obtained an ominous reputation almost instantly.

Entry 309 - The Silk Palace

Bones and the dried remains of animals and humanoids are affixed to and jut out of the nightmare construction with alarming regularity. There are only two spheres at ground level, one at the far east of the palace, the other opposite to the west. Large webs stretch out among the corners where spheres and tunnels meet as well as between near-running tunnels. These webs all house various spiders from common varieties to giant spiders the size of bears.

Entry 52 - Freeholm

I decided to venture into the heart of Freeholm and see for myself what life was like in this kingdom. I soon realized that the common people here were hardworking but often lived in poverty, with only the royal family enjoying any significant wealth and privilege. The political scandal and intrigue in this kingdom have resulted in frequent changes of the throne and constant infighting among the royal families.

Entry 59 - The Rainbow Clock

I made my way to the Eastern watchtower and as I reached the top, I was greeted with a breathtaking sight. The Rainbow Clock had just erupted, and the steam created a rainbow that lasted for a couple of minutes. It was a truly remarkable sight and one that I will never forget.

Entry 6 - Highbridge

The architecture of the city is enchanting, with small, but lavish cathedrals and towering apartments alongside cozy taverns and bustling open-air markets. I visited the open-air markets and was amazed by the depth of local goods on offer. I also had a chance to visit the royal palace, adorned with glittering mosaics and intricate sculptures.

Entry 84 - The Great Market of Ujamir

From exotic spices and rare herbs, to intricate jewelry and beautiful fabrics, the Great Market of Ujamir has something for everyone. I also noticed that despite the threat of petty theft, the market was well-protected by a large merchant's guard and periodically patrolled by the Ujamir city watch.
