Flame

This spell creates or manipulates a small amount of heat or flame.  You can animate this flame, contain it, attack, or defend with it.  If there is no existing flame to manipulate, you can draw heat from the environment or even your own body to generate the seed flame.  This flame will disappear when the spell ends, but any fires started from contact with the spell flame will continue and likely spread.

This spell uses a difference Scale modifier when you are manipulating existing flames.  Refer to the chart below to animate, alter, or extinguish larger fires.  Note that you are not immune to your own flames when casting this spell, but you can use this spell to create protection from fire. 

 

This spell costs 2 Mana to cast if there is no existing flames, and 1 Spirit if you already have flames to work with.

Basic Casting

You create a small magical fire about the size of a torch flame.  It can be floating in your hand or attached to a weapon or item.  If you attack with it and hit it will inflict d4 damage.

A flame shoots from your hand up to 100m into the sky and explodes into a bright bird of fire that burns for 1 minute.

Ugasti

You draw the flames down into the earth, causing up to block of house fires to instantly dwindle down and go out.  The fires are put out completely, leaving anything that was burning only warm to the touch.  Metal and stone objects within the fires will still be hot to the touch.
